repeatResubmission

If your project wasn't selected for funding, you can submit it again, but only after you've made meaningful improvements.

When Can You Resubmit?

You may resubmit your project to any future SCF round as long as the submission window is open and your project:

  • Meets all current Submission Eligibility Requirements

  • Has been significantly improved based on reviewer feedback or previous issues

SCF is competitive. Submitting the same project repeatedly without clear progress is not likely to succeed and may result in a submission timeout.

⚠️ Timeout Policy for Repeated Submissions ⚠️

To keep the process high-quality and reviewer time well spent, SCF enforces a submission limit:

  • If a project is rejected three times, it will be blocked from applying for the next three rounds

  • After that, each additional failed submission adds another three-round timeout

The timeout starts from the round of the third unsuccessful attempt, not the current round.

What Counts as “Significant Improvement”?

This depends on why your project wasn’t selected, but examples include:

  • A stronger or more realistic roadmap

  • A better-structured tranche plan with clearer deliverables

  • Demonstrated traction, technical progress, or user growth

  • A more compelling use of Stellar or Soroban

  • Fixing critical issues raised by reviewers from previous feedback

If your submission was vague, incomplete, overly ambitious, or not clearly aligned with Stellar ecosystem goals, those issues should be directly addressed before resubmitting.

Before You Resubmit

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Have we addressed the issues that caused our previous application to fall short?

  • Can we point to real improvements in technical clarity, roadmap structure, or product readiness?

  • Is this version of our submission stronger, more focused, and more likely to succeed?

If the answer to all three is yes, your project may be ready for another round.

Resubmitting for Previously Awarded Projects

Projects who have previously received an SCF Build Award (or other SCF Award) are eligible to submit for another Build Award to add additional features, provided they meet the following criteria:

  • All tranches from the previous SCF Build Award have been completed and the full budget has been paid out.

  • Teams should share evidence of significant traction from prior funding, ideally onchain metrics.

  • Products should be live and testable at the time of submission for a subsequent Build Award.
