# Content & Events

As part of the Ambassador Program, SDF maintains program resources, including a program information page and a program newsletter. While Ambassadors are encouraged to submit material to these program resources, they are maintained by SDF, and SDF exercises full editorial discretion when choosing how and when to accept submissions, what to publish or post, and when to reject, modify, or remove content.

In addition to these program resources, Chapters may create their own resources, including chapter pages, websites, blog posts, videos, and social media accounts, as well as presentations, workshops, and courses for in-person and virtual events.

These Chapter resources are the domain of the Chapter, and generally, they are created and maintained by the Chapter President, or by others to whom the Chapter President delegates responsibility. SDF does not independently review, validate, or verify the information contained in those resources, and assumes no liability or responsibility for any errors, mistakes, omissions, or inaccuracies they may contain. Any views or opinions expressed on those resources are solely those of the resource owner, and do not represent the views or opinions of SDF.\*\*

That said, in order to ensure Chapters provide consistent and high-quality information and experiences, there are common standards Ambassadors are expected to follow — and that Chapter Presidents are expected to enforce — when creating, publishing, or sharing content related to the Ambassador Program.

#### Content Guidelines

Content should:

* [x] Be accurate and up to date
* [x] Be clear, concise, and grammatically correct
* [x] Focus on the technical aspects of developing on Stellar, the business aspects of building on the Stellar ecosystem, key developments in the Stellar ecosystem, and/or relevant research or policy topics
* [x] Highlight events, concerns, solutions, and perspectives relevant to the region
* [x] Have a human touch — use of generative AI should be thoughtful and supportive, and not the default

**Content should not under any circumstances:**

* [x] Promote market speculation of any sort, especially any speculation of XLM
* [x] Provide investment advice or focus on the price of assets, including XLM
* [x] Focus on marketing or promoting a single product or service (to the exclusion of other products or services in the region), including any particular token or digital asset
* [x] Make false or misleading claims
* [x] Claim to be created or co-created, hosted or co-hosted, vetted, or otherwise endorsed by SDF or Stellar without explicit approval from SDF

All content should also follow the [Stellar Community Code of Conduct](https://stellar.org/foundation/code-of-conduct) and the [Stellar Development Foundation Brand Policy](https://stellar.org/brand-policy).

#### Event Guidelines

Events, like other Chapter content, are the domain of the Chapter, and it is the Chapter President's responsibility to select which events to fund, and to work with event hosts to ensure that they follow the content guidelines above.

In addition to any specific processes determined by the Chapter President, Ambassadors should follow best practices when applying to host or hosting events. Generally:

* Event hosts must submit a complete event application to their Chapter President, including an itemized budget and a detailed agenda of the event
* Event hosts must meet the [Eligibility Requirements](https://stellar.gitbook.io/ambassador-program/resources/terms-and-conditions/eligibility-requirements) for Event Hosts, and, if requested, provide information to the Chapter President for KYC and/or due diligence purposes.
* Events must include a qualified technical lead — meaning someone who has professional experience as a developer, a live Stellar project, relevant Stellar Quest badges, or other similar credentials — as a speaker and/or co-host.
* Events hosts (or their delegates) should properly promote and document events. They should, for instance:
  * Post complete information about the event onLuma and/or other relevant event platforms
  * Promote the event on Twitter and/or other social media platforms
  * Provide attendees a method (such as a QR code) to join the Stellar Developer Discord, and/or to follow the chapter and/or SDF on Twitter and other socials
  * Capture 20+ professional-level photographs of the event, including group shots of all attendees, and collect necessary permission from attendees to use those photos in marketing or promotional efforts related to the Ambassador Program
* Whenever possible, event hosts should collaborate with other Ambassadors in their Chapter, share knowledge and resources with Ambassadors in other Chapters, and provide SDF with relevant updates to improve and promote the Ambassador Program.

In general, the events, content, and initiatives chapters host, publish, and offer should not target any national, provincial, state, local, or municipal governments or government officials, or any governmental or quasi-governmental entities or organizations (including state-owned, or partially state-owned businesses or non-governmental organizations).
