# Stellar Ambassador Program Privacy Notice

### **STELLAR AMBASSADOR PROGRAM PRIVACY NOTICE**

**1. OVERVIEW**

Effective Date: July 23, 2026

The Stellar Development Foundation (“**SDF**,” “**we**,” “**our**,” or “**us**”) provides this Privacy Notice to explain how we handle personal information in connection with the Stellar Ambassador Program (the “**Program**”). This notice supplements the SDF Privacy Policy (<https://stellar.org/privacy-policy>) and applies to ambassadors, chapter leads, event hosts, event attendees, and other individuals who participate in or interact with the Program. Where this notice and the SDF Privacy Policy overlap, this notice controls for Program-related processing.

**2. CONTROLLER**

SDF is the data controller for personal information processed in connection with the Program. In certain regions, chapter leads collect personal information from Program Participants on SDF’s behalf as data processors, subject to contractual data protection obligations.

**3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT**

* Identity and contact information: name, email, phone number, country and city of residence, professional role, and project or company affiliation.
* Online identifiers: social media handles, Discord usernames and IDs, Telegram usernames, GitHub handles, and similar platform identifiers.

SDF does not export or locally store these documents.
* Financial information: payment records and invoice details.
* Communications: messages and feedback sent in connection with the Program.

We collect this information directly from you, from chapter leads acting on our behalf, from Program platforms (Discord, Telegram, X/Twitter), and from Persona (verification status only).

We retain personal information as long as necessary to administer the Program, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.

KYC data held by Persona is retained and deleted in accordance with Persona’s privacy policy (available at withpersona.com/legal/privacy-policy) and SDF’s Data Processing Addendum with Persona. SDF may request deletion of KYC data at any time, and Persona is contractually required to delete Customer Personal Data within 90 days of termination of SDF’s agreement with Persona.

**8. DATA SECURITY**

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and multi-factor authentication. Chapter leads who process personal information on our behalf are contractually required to maintain comparable security measures.

**9. YOUR RIGHTS**
