# West Africa Chapter

West Africa is rapidly emerging as a vibrant hub for technological innovation and entrepreneurship. The region's tech boom is driven by a young, dynamic population with a strong appetite for digital solutions that address local challenges. Cities like Lagos, Accra, and Dakar are becoming hotspots for startups, attracting significant investments and fostering a culture of creativity and problem-solving.

The Stellar West Africa Ambassador chapter is our pioneering initiative, being the very first Ambassador program launched. We host approximately 10 events per month, focusing on educating people about the Stellar ecosystem and the projects developed by and for West Africans.

#### About Stellar West Africa

With increasing access to the internet and mobile technology, West Africa is poised to lead in sectors such as fintech, agritech, and healthtech. This tech renaissance is not only transforming economies but also creating new opportunities for education, employment, and social impact, making West Africa a pivotal player in the global tech landscape.

We have regular meetings on Discord every Wednesday at 1pm PST. These events discuss updates with our funding, projects emerging from our Ambassadors team, collaborations, and upcoming events. Active participants can apply to host their own events in the region. Currently, we are looking to host more events in Ghana and Senegal.
