The Stellar East African Ambassador Chapter is dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and education within the region. This chapter serves as a hub for blockchain enthusiasts, developers, and advocates who are passionate about leveraging Stellar’s powerful ecosystem to solve regional challenges in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Rwanda. Our mission is to empower local communities by providing tools, resources, and guidance to build and deploy solutions that address key economic and social issues specific to East Africa.

### About Stellar East Africa

East Africa faces several pressing challenges, including limited access to traditional banking, high remittance fees, and economic disparities that hinder business growth and financial inclusion. Notably, East Africa is home to one of the highest mobile money adoption rates in the world, with mobile-based transactions contributing significantly to economic activity. Stellar’s mission aligns seamlessly with this digital financial landscape by providing blockchain technology that offers low-cost, secure, and fast financial services, enabling even more seamless mobile transactions and cross-border trade.

We focus on comprehensive training and development, enabling participants with a development background to gain proficiency in building on the Stellar blockchain, whether through workshops, coding bootcamps, or mentorship programs. Our ambassadors are committed to hosting impactful events that foster knowledge-sharing, from local meetups to larger conferences that draw diverse stakeholders from across the region.

In addition to championing local development, we collaborate closely with other African chapters to strengthen the Stellar presence and ensure representation at major continental events. Together, we strive to create a cohesive network of ambassadors who advocate for blockchain innovation, promote financial inclusion, and showcase the transformative potential of the Stellar ecosystem.&#x20;
